What is Complex Systems Summer School?

CSSS is:

• Yearly intensive 4-week graduate level course in complex systems
• Math Refresher Weekend
• Week 1: Morning: Dynamics.  Afternoon: Adaptive systems, Information theory
• Week 2: Morning: Complexity in Economics.  Afternoon: Project teams
• Week 3: Morning: Scaling in Biology. Afternoon: Projects
• Week 4: Mon-Wed: Complete Projects.  Thu-Fri: Present projects
• Cross-discipline: mathematical, physical, biological, social systems
• BusNet participation included
• I applied and was (gulp!) accepted!

So studied [ 1  , 2 ] for a couple of months, rented a casita, hopped in the car and went!
